You may still book this tour for any date on or after March 1, 2012. More Details: Not sure what to do once you get to Grand Canyon National Park? Ride the rim! This new bicycle tour will introduce you to incredible viewpoints away from the crowds. Our guides will set you up with a bicycle and helmet. There are men’s and women’s models, three-wheel adult bikes, and pull-behind child trailers so the whole family can come along. Your guide will lead you down Hermit Road and the new Greenway Trail, which is open only to cyclists and pedestrians. The guide will tell you about the history and geology of the Grand Canyon as you stop at several uncrowded viewpoints, including Hopi Point, the Abyss, and Pima Point. The ride is leisurely and mostly downhill; you can go at a pace that is comfortable for you. The bike ride finishes at Hermits Rest, a historic building designed by Mary Colter in 1914.
